Hospital Car Parking Charges In The South Of England

EDM number 522 in 2017-19, proposed by Robert Halfon on 13/11/2017.
Categorised under the topics of Health services and Roads.

That this House notes that a postcode lottery exists in charges for hospital car parks; further notes that hospitals in London, the East of England and the South East of England are among the highest in England; is disappointed that research shows that these areas also saw among the highest parking charges in 2014; notes that this means patients and visitors are worst affected if they live in these regions; and urges the Government to consider ways to reduce the cost of hospital parking across the country.
