EDM number 519 in 2017-19, proposed by Daniel Kawczynski on 13/11/2017.
Categorised under the topic of International trade.

That this House supports the bid by Poland for the Specialised Expo 2022-23 trade event to be held in the city of Lódz on 15 June to 15 September 2022, promoting revitalisation of cities through their CITY RE:INVENTED theme which leads to improvements in the quality of life and living; notes that Lódz, the third largest city in Poland, is deserving of hosting the Expo due to its bustling commercial, academic and cultural centre and distinct local culture heavily influenced by its Polish and Jewish heritage; further notes that such support would be greatly welcomed by the Polish Government which is a strong ally to the UK; notes that for the Expo to be held in the centre of Europe would benefit the wider European community, including learning from Poland and other countries how cities can be revitalised and how such measures could be used to improve cities in the UK; and calls on Ministers to offer the UK's assistance to Poland on this matter.
