Residential Support Services For Veterans At Audley Court

EDM number 473 in 2017-19, proposed by Liz Saville Roberts on 30/10/2017.
Categorised under the topics of Armed forces welfare and Veterans.

That this House expresses concern regarding the planned cessation of residential services at the Audley Court; Combat Stress facility for Veterans; notes that this means hundreds of veterans suffering from conditions such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) will no longer have feasible access to residential care; raises concern that Welsh veterans in particular will be disadvantaged as there is no existing provision within Wales for residential veterans care; calls the Government to ensure the Audley House facility has the funds to continue providing residential care; and further calls on the Government to invest in support services for veterans to ensure they have access to the treatments and facilities they need.
