That this House notes that on 13 October 2017 a Tunnock's teacake nicknamed Terry was launched 121,000 feet to the edge of space; understands that the launch was co-ordinated by Glasgow Science Centre to highlight exciting new developments in the field of space science; appreciates that over 33,000 people watched the space voyage online; believes that this fun experiment highlights the exciting opportunities on offer for careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics; congratulates Glasgow Science Centre on a successful space launch; and wishes it continued success in inspiring the next generation of Scottish scientists.
