That this House congratulates the St. Angela's Participation Centre Community Sports Hub based in Darnley, Glasgow on its successful Supporting Community Diversity through Sport event, which was held on 25 August 2017 as part of its EU-funded Erasmus+ project, Enriching Lives and Opening Minds; notes that this project is a grassroots community partnership between Scottish, Croatian and Italian community organisations, which celebrates the diversity of their communities by way of national sports; understands that St. Angela's Participation Centre brought over 800 local youth and European visitors to Glasgow in August to multiple locations and also sent young and older volunteer coaches to Croatia and Italy to deliver traditional Scottish sports; and considers that the example set by these organisations, such as St. Angela's Participation Centre, provide unique opportunities for local, diverse youth and represent Scotland with distinction through their European community engagement.
