40th Anniversary Of Maryhill Housing Association

EDM number 302 in 2017-19, proposed by Patrick Grady on 12/09/2017.
Categorised under the topic of Social rented housing.

That this House congratulates Maryhill Housing Association on its 40th anniversary of providing housing, sustained regeneration and support to members of the Maryhill and Ruchill communities; notes the organisation is one of the most high-profile housing associations in Glasgow and now provides over 3,000 homes to its communities; further congratulates Maryhill Housing for working in the spirit of Scotland's housing association movement by investing in people beyond their tenancies; further notes that the organisation currently runs its own allotments, offers apprenticeships to young people and provides services such as a community fund for local improvements and a free financial inclusion service to help local people obtain grants and access to state benefits; thanks all of those who have worked so hard to ensure the success of Maryhill Housing over the years; and looks forward to many more years of admirable work as it continues to breathe new life into Maryhill and Ruchill.
