Energy Security

EDM number 1410 in 2017-19, proposed by Daniel Kawczynski on 18/06/2018.
Categorised under the topics of Eastern Europe, Energy, Europe and Oil, petrol and natural gas.

That this House notes that the Nord Stream 2 pipeline project puts the energy security of the UK's key NATO allies in central and eastern Europe at risk; stands firm in its support of Poland and other key allies on this issue; further notes that Euro-Atlantic unity remains the UK's strongest tool in holding Russia to account over its actions; and calls on the Government to place sanctions on European companies involved in this project to ensure the continued security and diversity of energy supply in Europe.
