Galston Community Development Trust And The Portland

That this House congratulates Galston Community Development Trust on the completion of its regeneration project, The Portland, Galston, at the site of the former Portland Arms, Cross Street, Galston; notes that the Trust already has full business occupancy within the premises which will hopefully keep the project on a sustainable footing; welcomes the five businesses which have set up in the Portland, namely, Fascinators by Leanne, Scott Gray Physiotherapist, Corporate Stress Management, Bonnyholm Designs and Plan Zed; further welcomes the creation of a community room; and further notes that this room has transformed the premises into a social hub for all members of the community, including senior, youth and disability, due to the range of activities hosted every week.
