That this House notes that Glasgow Film has played 693 films to over 200,000 people over the last 12 months; appreciates that the 2018 Glasgow Film Festival, with its main base at the iconic Glasgow Film Theatre, maintained record-breaking attendances despite the significant disruption caused by the beast from the east; commends initiatives such as the dementia-friendly Movie Memories programme; understands that the Glasgow Short Film Festival, in its 11th year, screened 290 films from 49 countries; believes that Glasgow Film makes a significant contribution to the cultural life of Glasgow; thanks staff and volunteers for their efforts; and wishes Glasgow Film continued success in the future.
