Hospital Car Parking Charges - Long-Term Cancer Treatment

EDM number 1127 in 2017-19, proposed by Robert Halfon on 27/03/2018.
Categorised under the topics of Diseases, Health services and Roads.

That this House notes that patients admitted to hospital for cancer treatment require long-term hospital stays; further notes that such patients and their families are subject to heavy car parking charges in NHS hospitals; recognises that parking charges are an unfair financial burden for long-term patients; further recognises that this intensifies the stress that comes with a long-term condition; and urges the Government to abolish parking charges for cancer patients.
