Barista Visas

EDM number 1103 in 2017-19, proposed by Lloyd Russell-Moyle on 21/03/2018.
Categorised under the topics of Employment and Immigration.

That this House expresses concern about the implementation of barista visas; sees the introduction of such visas as a way of replacing EU free movement to the UK after the UK has left the UK; deems those visas to be a mechanism to preserve the flow of migrant labour and exploit workers through poor pay whilst maximising company profits; and urges the Government to listen to the voices of Unite and others across the trade union movement and scrap that scheme before it goes any further.

This motion has been signed by a total of 13 MPs.
