Syria Relief

EDM number 1064 in 2017-19, proposed by Christine Jardine on 13/03/2018.
Categorised under the topics of Health services, International development and Middle East.

That this House recognises the work undertaken by Syria Relief in providing ground support in Syria, covering 48 schools in rebel held areas; praises the network of 1,700 Syria Relief workers who are inside Syria; further recognises that the lack of access to health facilities and supplies remains one of the largest issues that affect Syrians today; notes that women have to walk 15 miles to hospital in parts of Syria; and calls on the Government to ensure the Department for International Development aid directly goes to Syria and to support efforts to end all forms of violence against women and girls in that country.
