Honey Monster Puffs Sugar Reduction

That this House congratulates the Brecks Company on its decision to reformulate Honey Monster Puffs to include 25 per cent less sugar from March 2017; notes that this decision follows moves by Tesco, Lucozade Ribena Suntory, Nestlé, Coca Cola and PepsiCo to reformulate products to reduce their sugar content; further notes that since 1996, the number of people diagnosed with diabetes in the UK has risen from 1.4 million to 3.5 million with an additional 549,000 cases stated to be undiagnosed; and calls on all other food and drink manufacturers to reduce sugar content in their food and drinks in order to reduce obesity and promote a healthy lifestyle.

This motion has been signed by a total of 15 MPs.
