School Funding In Cumbria
EDM number 919 in 2016-17, proposed by Timothy Farron on 06/02/2017.
Categorised under the topics of Public expenditure and Schools.
That this House recognises the impact of changes to school funding which leaves schools with greater financial liabilities; regrets that this will leave schools across the country with a £3 billion deficit by 2020, and schools in Cumbria with a £23 million deficit by that date; is concerned that cuts on such a scale would hit staff numbers and impact on the standard of education provided to students; and calls on the Government to reconsider its plans and to choose instead to invest in education for the future.
This motion has been signed by a total of 5 MPs.
