That this House congratulates Ochiltree Community Hub on securing a £35,290 Scottish Land Fund award; appreciates that these funds will be used to purchase the site of the former village community centre and library through an asset transfer agreed with East Ayrshire Council; notes the proposal to build a new community hub with facilities including a hall, a community café, office space and meeting rooms; commends the Scottish Government for its support of rural communities to become more resilient and sustainable through the ownership and management of land and land assets; and supports Ochiltree Community Hub in its further funding applications, including BLF Community Assets and LEADER, which will allow this exciting project to go ahead.
