That this House congratulates Girvan and District Attractions and Entertainment Association on their successful bid for funding from the Big Lottery Fund under the banner of Celebrate; recognises that Celebrate supports people to bring their local communities together, building stronger neighbourhoods and tackling social isolation; notes that Girvan Attractions was set up for the benefit of the local community and is run by local volunteers of all ages; commends their efforts to organise a range of events which appeal to a wide variety of people and attracts tourists to the area; and acknowledges the success of 2016's Girvan and South Carrick Fireworks Display which brought together thousands of people to celebrate together.
