Tick Treatments And Uk-Bound PETS

That this House notes the increased incidents of tick-borne diseases amongst domestic pets since the commencement of the non-commercial 2011 Pet Travel Scheme (PETS); welcomes the call of the British Veterinary Association for the re-introduction of compulsory tick treatments for all cats and dogs travelling back into the UK under the PETS Scheme; and calls on the Government to respond to this call without delay.
