EDM number 461 in 2016-17, proposed by Paul Monaghan on 14/09/2016.
Categorised under the topic of Cultural heritage.

That this House congratulates the Transforming Timespan's Archive project on its recent grant of £55,400 from the National Lottery's Heritage Lottery fund; recognises that Heritage Lottery funding is awarded to projects that aim to sustain a wide range of heritage for present and future generations to learn from and enjoy; notes that the grant will be used to improve conservation, storage and accessibility of Timespan's archives; further notes that the funding will also be used to run a year-long training programme for local people to learn the archive thoroughly, to allow them to make future decisions on how Timespan will be maintained, interpreted and further developed; and commends all the fantastic staff and volunteers at Timespan for all their hard work and efforts in showcasing the significant social history of Sutherland and Scotland.
