Bebowl Initiative In Fife

That this House commends Lumphinnans, Kelty and Lochgelly Bowling Clubs for their engagement with local schools in the community; understands that they work in conjunction with the Active Schools team to introduce schoolchildren to bowls and encourage young people to participate in the sport; notes that the participating primary schools are St Patrick’s, St Joseph’s, St Kenneth’s, Foulford, Lumphinnans, Kelty, Lochgelly West and Lochgelly South; further notes that the three clubs offer training sessions and competition play to participating young people acknowledges that teams of volunteers from the clubs are essential to the success of the BeBowl programme; praises the participating children for their enthusiasm and dedication to the sport; and calls on more clubs across Fife to get involved in the BeBowl programme, so that more young people can have the opportunity to participate in this fantastic initiative.
