Centrestage Communities Catalyst Project

That this House congratulates Centrestage Communities on being awarded a grant of £692,080 from the Big Lottery Fund to invest in its Catalyst project; understands that the three year project will provide help to enable a successful transition to community life for people who have served prison sentences of less than four years; notes that the project provides meaningful support before and after release to give every possible chance to break the cycle of re-offending; agrees that breaking that cycle of re-offending is fundamentally beneficial to the individual, community and society as a whole; wishes every success to Centrestage Communities and the Catalyst project; and further notes that this is just one of many successful community-based initiatives organised by Centrestage.
