That this House congratulates Catrine Amateur Football Club on its Awards for All Scotland grant of £6,232 from the Big Lottery Fund; welcomes its plans to hold a community festival to celebrate the village of Catrine's historic connection to cotton milling and bringing local people together; applauds its community-minded actions and its good management of a community asset to bring the economic benefits of increased trade to the area; and further notes that the Catrine Cotton Music Festival would not be happening without the activism of the Catrine Amateur Football Club committee and local volunteers.
