Beanstalk And The Sentinel's Big Read Campaign

That this House supports the excellent work of the charity Beanstalk and the dedication of local volunteers in supporting literacy and encouraging children to read; recognises the positive impact that one-to-one literacy support for children can make; welcomes the Sentinel's Big Read campaign which, in association with Beanstalk, will provide a free book to over 10,000 children in Stoke-on-Trent; and encourages schools to work with Beanstalk and people to volunteer as Beanstalk reading helpers to support those children who are most in need of additional support to achieve their full potential.
