That this House congratulates the Senior Centre, Castlemilk, Glasgow on being awarded the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service for 2016; recognises the contribution of staff and volunteers, led by the manager, Melanie O'Donnell, making the local senior citizens feel welcomed and valuable; notes that the centre caters for more than 400 members providing a variety of classes ranging from IT and reminiscence to arts and crafts and regular sightseeing trips organised for members; commends the centre and its volunteers for the huge contribution they make in helping to reduce isolation and loneliness among the many users; and looks forward to the service continuing to work for the senior citizens of Castlemilk for many years to come.
