That this House notes that the pupils of Thornliebank Primary School have won a British Council International School Award, celebrating their commitment to working with schools across the world, promoting global education and giving pupils global learning experiences; applauds the pupils for their initiative in forming a committee and organising global themed events; congratulates the children from all year groups who undertook research and formed bonds with schools worldwide, including organising a teddy bear exchange with an Italian school and a pen pal initiative with a school in Australia; and further notes the praise of assessors who noted that this initiative by the school is an excellent example to be followed by others.
