That this House warmly congratulates the Inverewe Garden in West Ross on winning the BBC Countryfile Magazine UK Garden of the Year Competition; commends the National Trust for Scotland for its efforts in preserving this oasis of botany in the North of Scotland, featuring plants, shrubs and trees from across the world, some dating back to the creation of the garden in 1860 and on the opening of its new glasshouse; and looks forward to encouraging even more than the 55,000 to 65,000 visitors it already attracts each year.
