That this House recognises the importance of communication skills and confidence-building in improving the life changes, self esteem and opportunities for young people; understands the value of joke-telling in enhancing these attributes; applauds the work of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and the Communication Trust in harnessing this enjoyable method of communication development; and wholeheartedly congratulates the excellent finalists Colm Donnelly, of St Cadoc's Primary School and Cameron Rose of Renton Primary School; and is delighted by the success of the outstanding winner and funniest child in the country, Sam Hamilton of Giffnock Primary School.
