Attacks In European Cities

That this House notes the appalling events over recent months in European cities, including Cologne, Stuttgart and Helsinki, where a series of attacks took place with women appearing to have been particularly singled out by many perpetrators; is concerned that media reports of these attacks initially were isolated and not proportionate to the extent of the violence; and while not wishing to exacerbate the scale of the violence beyond the factual position, believes that neither should mainstream media outlets seek to minimise the attacks.
