Transatlantic Trade And Investment Partnership And Devolved Services

EDM number 928 in 2015-16, proposed by Jonathan Edwards on 07/01/2016.
Categorised under the topics of Devolution, International trade, North America and EU external relations.

That this House notes that many of the public services that will potentially come under the terms of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) are competencies of the devolved governments of Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland; further notes that the terms of TTIP could potentially significantly influence the ability of the devolved governments to manage public services under their respective responsibilities; and calls on the Government to ensure that the devolved governments and national parliaments have a formal, binding role and veto in the ratification of TTIP by the Government.

This motion has been signed by a total of 38 MPs.
