That this House congratulates John White & Son, the oldest independent weighing company in the UK, on its 300th anniversary; recognises the contribution made by the family-run manufacturing company of Auchtermuchty, Fife, to the industry, evolving over three different centuries to embrace advances in technology which have seen the firm become one of the pioneers in electronic weighing in the 1970s; and further recognises how the company continues to develop its technical expertise through a programme of staff training and development with a wide range of products and services it now provides to its customers across the globe.
