Dundee City Council Low Emission Scheme Bid

That this House supports Dundee City Council's bid for a share of the Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) £35 million Go Ultra Low City Scheme; further supports the Council's bid for a share of OLEV's £20 million Ultra Low Emission Vehicle Taxi Scheme; congratulates the already outstanding work of Dundee City Council in procuring and promoting the use of electric powered vehicles in the city as a way of combating air pollution; welcomes the ever-expanding infrastructure across the city to support such vehicles; appreciates that a successful bid would have enormous financial benefits for the city of Dundee; and hopes that the Government looks favourably upon the bids which would ensure that Dundee continues to lead the way in electric vehicle promotion and usage.
