Leeds Rhinos Rugby League Treble Winners 2015

That this House congratulates Leeds Rhinos on winning the treble by winning the Super League Grand Final on 10 October 2015 at Old Trafford, the Challenge Cup Final at Wembley on 29 August 2015 and the League Leader's Shield in Huddersfield on 25 September 215; notes that this is the first time Leeds has won the treble and double and first time it has beaten Wigan in a final; further notes the extraordinary manner in which Leeds became Super League Champions, coming from behind in the final Super 8 game with a try in the dying seconds and coming from behind in the play-off semi-final and Grand Final; pays tribute to retiring players, club captain and former England captain Kevin Sinfield MBE, former England captain Jamie Peacock MBE and former Aotearoa Mãori and Samoan international Kylie Leuluai, who all retire from rugby league as treble winners and with a remarkable list of honours as part of the record breaking Golden Generation at the club; further congratulates Danny McGuire for winning the Harry Sunderland trophy for man of the match; congratulates Zak Hardaker for winning the Steve Prescott Man of Steel Award, Brian McDermott on being the rugby league coach of the year and the team for being Super League team of the year; and acknowledges the leadership of Chief Executive Gary Hetherington and Chairman Paul Caddick and the hard work of staff of the club and Leeds Rhinos Foundation on this historic achievement and the unparalleled success of the club in recent years.
