That this House welcomes the release of Oil and Gas UK's annual Economic Report; notes that this has been a challenging time for all those involved in the industry; congratulates all those involved in the sector for their hard work and commitment; regrets that capital investment is likely to drop by between £2 billion and £4 billion in each of the next three years as a consequence of new projects failing to gain approval; and urges the Government to increase incentives for exploration in the North Sea to ensure the longevity of the industry.
