Elspeth Husband, Scotland's Young Person's Champion Of The Year

That this House congratulates Mrs Elspeth Husband on being named Scotland's Young Person's Champion of the Year at the National Youth Work Awards 2016; commends Mrs Husband for her dedication and passion to Girl Guiding in Thurso, and the surrounding communities, for over 20 years; recognises the hard work and efforts Mrs Husband has devoted in supporting young people to identify and achieve their personal goals, helping them to realise their potential and encouraging them to be ambitious and confident; and notes that her support and inspiration has been particularly influential for young women taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme, which is recognised globally as a leading youth achievement award.
