That this House congratulates the Northern Ireland Commonwealth Games Council on its successful bid to host the seventh Commonwealth Youth Games from 27 July to 1 August 2021; recognises the hard work of all those behind securing the games for Belfast and surrounding areas; notes the importance of the games in providing a springboard to future international multi-sport competition and nurturing friendships and bonds shared across our Commonwealth; and calls on the Government to help provide the games with all the respect and support the athletes, organisers and hosts deserve when they welcome 1,000 young athletes from 71 nations and territories within the Commonwealth of Nations to venues across Northern Ireland.
