Landfill Communities Fund Structure

EDM number 1078 in 2015-16, proposed by Helen Goodman on 04/02/2016.
Categorised under the topic of Waste management.

That this House recognises the positive impact that the Landfill Communities Fund (LCF) has on local communities; further recognises that the LCF funds important projects such as nature conservation and youth volunteering; notes that landfill operators and the charitable organisations benefiting from the LCF are happy with its current structure which leads to the timely release of funds, and do not wish the structure to change; and recognises that proposals to end the Contributory Third Party arrangement is likely to lead to landfill operators withdrawing from the voluntary LCF schemes leading to a loss of funds for community projects.

This motion has been signed by a total of 19 MPs.
