EDM number 1069 in 2015-16, proposed by Paul Monaghan on 03/02/2016.
Categorised under the topics of Defence equipment and procurement, Eastern Europe, EU law and treaties and Iraq.

That this House notes with alarm and concern the terms of the bargain agreed on 2 February 2016 in Prague between Prime Minister David Cameron and the Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka, in which the UK Prime Minister promised to allow the sale of Czech aircraft to Iraq in return for the Czech Prime Minister's agreement not to oppose the UK Government's EU reform proposals and, specifically, the aspiration to reduce welfare; and further notes that this agreement has been widely publicised in the Czech weekly, Respekt.
