Strathesk Primary BIG Award

That this House congratulates Strathesk Primary School in Penicuik, Midlothian, on becoming the first school in Scotland to be awarded a BIG Award in recognition of its efforts to tackle bullying; commends the work of Strathesk primary staff, pupils and parents in cooperating to ensure that this was achieved; notes that the BIG (Bullying Intervention Group) is a nationally-recognised award for excellence in tackling bullying in schools, and that schools are required to provide specific evidence to show they are providing specialist support; praises a great achievement for Strathesk Primary School; and further notes the exceptional work Head Teacher Ms Donaldson has done in making Strathesk a safer and happier environment.
