That this House notes the comments in The Times Magazine, 15 June 2013, page 10, which imply that reasonable parents decide not to take their children to accident and emergency if there is any threat of a social services investigation; believes that reasonable parents should take their children to accident and emergency if their medical needs dictate this and should not be concerned about a social services investigation; and calls on the Government to investigate to what extent parents are avoiding getting medical attention because of children's services procedures and what changes are needed to children's services procedures in order to avoid frightening parents from taking their children to hospital.
