That this House welcomes the announcement that HRH Prince Edward, The Earl of Wessex will officially open the De Montfort University's Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Leisure Centre in Leicester on 7 June 2013; notes that the opening of this sports centre will further add to Leicester's already outstanding sporting facilities; hopes that further sporting achievement will be produced as a result of this centre opening; and recognises that this is yet another reason why Leicester should be the UK City of Culture 2017.
