That this House congratulates staff at the Cumberland and Westmorland Herald on their outstanding success at the national Newspaper Awards 2013; notes it being named weekly newspaper of the year on account of the exceptionally high quality of its output along with its varied appeal to local people of all ages; hails the paper's triumph in achieving these standards at a particularly difficult time for the print media industry in general; salutes the hard work of all at the paper; and calls on local people to continue supporting this excellent journalism by picking up a copy each week.
