Celtic Football Club 125th Anniversary

That this House congratulates Celtic Football Club, the first British club to win the European Cup, on its 125th anniversary; notes that the club was formed to support needy children and to give identity and self-esteem to an underprivileged community; welcomes the club's aim in its anniversary year to raise 1.25 million for the Celtic Charity Fund for the benefit of a number of young people's cancer charities, bothin the UKand abroad, including the Teenage Cancer Trust; and further notes that by its actions Celtic Football Club demonstrates that football can be a force for good.
