That this House welcomes the Government's plans to propose legislation that will hopefully ensure vast improvements, simplicity and clarity in the way gas and electricity companies sell to their customers; and calls on the Government to include in that forthcoming legislation the Prime Minister's pledge on 17 October 2012 that energy companies will have to give the lowest tariff to their customers.
