Wheels For Will Campaign

EDM number 729 in 2012-13, proposed by Timothy Farron on 19/11/2012.
Categorised under the topics of Administration of justice and Roads.

That this House acknowledges the tragic cycling accident which left Will Clark from Grasmere in the Lake District paralysed from the neck down and restricted to living in a wheelchair for the rest of his life; notes that before his accident Will was a great lover of the outdoors, who used to regularly enjoy running and cycling as well as taking part in other outdoor activities across the fells of the Lake District; recognises the importance of ensuring that Will is given the highest possible quality of life following his accident by enabling him to gain some of the freedom he once enjoyed in the Lake District with the aid of a specially adapted rough terrain quad bike which Will can operate by the use of an amazing high-tech helmet using chin movements; praises the incredible appeal launch by the Westmorland Gazette to raise the 25,000 needed to buy the quad bike for Will; and calls on residents across the South Lakes to get involved and donate to help restore Will's freedom.

This motion has been signed by a total of 10 MPs.
