That this House notes the unveiling of the Noor Inayat Khan Memorial in Gordon Square, London on 8 November 2012; congratulates the Noor Inayat Khan Memorial Trust on gaining recognition for Noor Inayat Khan for her services to the UK during the Second World War; thanks the Vice Chancellor of the University of London for agreeing to the memorial being installed in Gordon Square Gardens near Noor Inayat Khan's home; further thanks House Members for their support for the memorial and sculptor Karen Newman for creating the memorial; recognises the extraordinary bravery of Noor Inayat Khan as one of three women in Winston Churchill's Special Operations Executive; furthernotes that Noor Inayat Khan was awarded the St George's Cross and the Croix de Guerre posthumously for her services to the allied forces; further notes that Noor Inayat Khan was interrogated and executed in Dachau concentration camp at the age of 30; recalls that her final word was `libert'; further recognises the importance of Noor Inayat Khan; and celebrates the unveiling of the first memorial to a British Asian woman in the UK.
