Skin Cancer Awareness

EDM number 697 in 2012-13, proposed by Jim Dobbin on 07/11/2012.
Categorised under the topics of Diseases and Health education and preventive medicine.

That this House notes that 80 per cent of all skin cancers are caused by over-exposure to the sun or sunbeds; recognises that helping to raise awareness of the need for both sun protection and regular skin checks is important in combating skin cancer and actinic keratosis; acknowledges the importance of campaigns, such as Give your skin a good FEEL, which highlight the potential dangers of sun damaged skin; and encourages hon. Members to raise awareness of the importance of regular skin checks all year round.

This motion has been signed by a total of 13 MPs.
