Wainwright Society 10th Anniversary

That this House congratulates the Wainwright Society on the eve of its 10th anniversary; applauds the Society's tireless efforts to keep alive the traditions started by Alfred Wainwright through his guidebooks and his many other publications, such as the walk to the summit of Dove Crag; praises the many thousands of pounds the Wainwright Society has raised in its 10-year history for causes which Wainwright himself would have supported and appreciated; notes that membership is now close to 1,000 and includes many notable members such as Julia Bradbury, Sir Chris Bonnington, Stuart Maconie and Doug Scott; and calls on others to celebrate this significant milestone.
