London Paddington Underground Station

EDM number 657 in 2012-13, proposed by Stephen Williams on 30/10/2012.
Categorised under the topic of Railways.

That this House notes the completion last summer of the restoration of the Edwardian glazed roof of the fourth span at London Paddington station, now brightly painted and shedding light onto the platforms and concourse; contrasts this with the dismal experience of the Bakerloo line station below, where crowdedconditions and peeling paint are a poor point of arrival and departure for passengers from Bristol, Bath, Cardiff, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Devon, Cornwall and other parts of the country served by Paddington; and calls on the Mayor of London and Transport for London to schedule a much needed programme of works and renovation to improve the experience for millions of commuters and visitors to London from the West Country and South Wales.

This motion has been signed by a total of 21 MPs.
