That this House notes with sadness the death of acclaimed singer-songwriter and folk club stalwart Michael Marra, widely known as the Bard of Dundee; appreciates that he leaves behind a thoughtful and humourous body of work that has brought pleasure to many over several decades and which will be remembered for its depictions of Scottish and Dundee life in songs such as Hamish the Goalie and If Africa was Dundee; acknowledges that he will be missed across Scotland and beyond; and passes its condolences to his family and friends.
