Categorised under the topics of Administration of justice and Children and families.
That this House supports the charity Missing People's Missing Rights campaign; recognises the practical and legal problems families experience when their loved one goes missing; believes that the very powerful personal evidence of families to the All Party Parliamentary Group inquiry into support for familiesof missing people supports the case for changing the current legal system; welcomes the Government's positive response to the Justice Committee's report Presumption of Death and the recommendations related to presumption of death legislation and a system of guardianship; and therefore calls on the Government to support the Presumption of Death Bill as introduced by the hon. Member for Salisbury and to ensure parity with legislation already in place in Northern Ireland and Scotland.
