That this House recognises that walking provides numerous benefits including improved physical and mental health, improved quality of life, reduced congestion, reduced carbon emissions and reconnecting people to their local communities; notes the Living Streets Great British Walking Challenge campaign to inspire people to walk more; and calls on the Government to support Walk to School Week and Walk to Work Week, which encourages people of all ages to walk more when going about their daily activities.
This motion has been signed by a total of 35 MPs.
